This past week was the Early Season here in Florida for Wood Ducks and Teal. Even with the recent rainfall from tropical depressions and such, the water levels are SO low. Navigating in some of the local lakes and swamps is pretty tricky for sure. The birds were flying, and there was some action when the sun was shining. Once the clouds kicked in and it cooled off, so did the ducks. I had a blast however, and can't wait for the regular season in November! I learned a lot, and picked up some new spots that I am looking forward to hunting.

Despite the unreal amount of effort just to move across the water, it was absolutely beautiful out there, and a true gift!

I know. Those are too big and loud for the tight little spots I go to these days. I go quietly into the little pockets where they sleep and blast them at breakfast. I got a project in the works however that is putting me in the money.
