Well the Ontario turkey season ended on the 31st of May. I only ended up getting a nice jake. Not that I didn't try hard, just never got any legal birds to come in. Had several hens come in answer to my calls but never any toms. We had a late cold Spring so maybe it affected my hunting. Saw lots of deer, so it should be a great fall season.

This was a beautiful, cold misty May morning.

This hen gave me a real education in turkey talk. I called to her & she replied back to me for about 40 min.

This nice doe came to checkout my decoys.

George, Congrats on your turkey. Trophies come big or small and if you walk out with a bird over the shoulder then you have gained on the season.

Ontario was tough one for everyone this past spring and something to keep in mind is that every spring will be a little different. Sound tones help alot out there in the woods and success can be lifted if you can change it up every now and then.

Great pic and good luck this coming Fall,
Your fellow Ontarian
