I have permisssion to hunt some private land this upcoming spring here in Florida, but the landowner will not allow shotguns, just bowhunting. Figure I need to add to my already lacking decoy inventory. I'm not a big decoy user in the first place, but figured I might need some extra help getting those birds inside of 20 yards for a good clean archery shot.
Any suggestions on a decent looking jake decoy that wont break the bank? Weight and portability are not factors, because I wont have to tote the decoys very far from my truck. I'm open to all suggestions.

Went with his jake decoy...On sale for $16.88 @ Cabela's. Cant beat the price, but might have to paint some more red on the head and neck.

You cant kill anything with that its only 16.88, you gotta get one of those 40 dollar ones! Another 3 dollars and 7 cents and you could have got an ultra cool and stylish one with fishing string... http://www.wingsupply.com/shop/Scripts/prodViewSKU.asp?SKU=5945WJ

That deke looks like warmed over chit...I'm very skeptical about using any gobbler or jake decoy to begin with. I will post my results as the season goes on...will only be using the jake on private land

Wonder if anyone has tried to put a decoy out laying on its side about 100 yards attached to some fishing line from their setup and let a gobbler get close and then yank it, in an attempt to get the gobbler to follow the decoy

I would try it without a decoy!
Many birds have been killed without a decoy!
