Hi Gang,
I know lot's of you are getting ready for doves and deer, but I also know that many of you are ready for some beard bustin',I know I am!I have been out scouting and getting a game plan together for my Thanksgiving dinner.I'm pretty excited about the prospects.I thought I'd give some of you a chance to talk turkey to hold you over until spring.Anyone seeing birds? What type of equipment are you planning on using?Camo? Speak up!

Been seeing some moderate size flocks off the river the last few weeks. Going to set up the ole Double Bull Matrix in some known feeding areas and hopefully fling some 150 gr. tom-o-hawk broadheads come 9/22/07. Bought my Bear Archery Instinct last season and aint shot squat with it yet, some I'm excited. As far as camo, I wear black from the waist up in the blind and it works like a charm with the dark interior. I was at the Bowhunter Jamboree this past weekend at Citrus WMA and DK Flatwoods is back in business again, so I bought some at a good price since all the swamp is full of palmettos and ferns. You could not pay me to wear realtree, j/k:D
Good luck this fall!!!

Fall Turkey Season only 16 days away for Central Fl boys, what's yall's opinion on Fall Hunting turkeys with dogs, I've seen some articles on it, but I don't know if it's legal in Florida, on private land maybe? any ideas or clues? Sounds crazy, but I'm sure its fun

Never hunted them with dogs here. Havent ever needed to. I bust a flock pretty good on my own... I"m not even sure of the laws David. I think it is illegal in Florida. At any rate I'm more so looking forward to hunting when the weather cools down.....Nothing like sitting under an old oak tree during the winter with a high, say in the 50's. Doing some kee kee runs or gobbler yelping at your set up.....Now ya'll have to realize that is a dang cold day in florida!!!!:)

Great looking set-up Palmetto! I am a Bear Fan myself. I am looking at getting a new bear Bow this year. Let us know how it performs.

I found some gobblers last May that I'm going back for this Fall. Usually here in NY you get a bird incidentally while waiting around for whitetail. But I know where they're livin' and I know they made it through last May (cuz I didnt shoot them) and I know where I'm putting my blind and just waiting. Passive? Yep. Calling? Nope. Ambushing? Damn straight after these buggers eluded me last Spring for DAYS on end. I'll post pics here ...hopefully.
