I'm located in central Fl. Ive just been turkey hunting two years with my best friend who is a good caller. Well he moved to Georgia 1 year ago, so i have been having to do my own calling. I can get the gobblers to gobble and come in to about 100 yards but no closer. I don't call to much or to loud, and practice all year.. :D

Also if it is the same spot every time go out in the woods sometime and make sure you arent trying to call him across a creek or an old fence or through some thick brush. Just go turkey watching sometime and see where they travel through naturally and set up there, they'll be more apt to go to a spot that they already like hanging out at.

Sounds like youve just had some bad luck there buddy. It can happen to anyone. Buck n beard hunter has a great point. Are there obstacles keeping the bird from coming in...Are you possibly overcalling??? The next question is where are you in Central Florida?? I live in central florida as well. Polk county let me know maybe we can get together and get to the root of the problem....

I hunt in different spots all the time, Avon Park bombing range, private land, Kissimee river area, same thing 100 yards. I listen to my Buddy call all the time and i do it just like he does but not the same result.. He laughs and says that I must not be holding my mouth right.. I live in Highlands county.

Gosh it could be so many things...the birds could just be call shy its hard to tell. He could have hens with. He may be in his strut zone and not going to budge. You have to give more details to the different situations. Is this off the roost, mid morn. etc..
