http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v476/Varmint05/5.jpg This one is one of my favorites because I had my boys ages 6 and 7 with me on the hunt. It was their first one to see called up. Their next one came about 2 weeks later, that we watched come to the call for about 3/4 of a mile! (the "rock and roll" is because these were entered into Tysons online calling contest) He required this pose for the pictures to be entered. There were not too many people in the contest but it was fun.

I started out my first series of calls with a closed reed jackrabbit distress and right after I finished my first series (about 30-40 seconds) I hear the shot. So I immediately start the coyote distress call. Nothing shows up. my buddy and I are only a few feet from each other but we are on opposite sides of a steep ridge so that we can see both sides. He said as soon as I started calling the coyote came running out of manzanita thicket and was charging hard.
