help!

i just purchased a new slate call from quakerboy and don't know what the sandpaper is for it is the new Xpot aluminum slate with wood striker what needs sanding. i'm have only been turkey hunting three years and have been using other brands of calls until i bought this one can anyone help?

The sandpaper is for sanding both the call surface with the grain, and the end of the striker. It gets all of the oil and anything else off of it.

But, do not sand the diamond dust coating, it shouldnt need it. Just sand the outer uncoated edges and always in the same direction. Also like James said the tip of the striker can be lightly sanded as well...
