Last fall I shot the NAP Spitfire 100 grain and this year I'm giving the Grim Reaper Razortip 100 grains a spin (Will see if their slogan, "Watch'em Drop", holds true this fall). I might drop down due to a heat stroke:D

Anything but them allens, those things are a joke. I bought some the first year bow hunting, geeze... two of the sharp tips bent and one of them fell off. Glad I just bought them for spares.

Ended up getting a 6-pack of American Broadhead Co. Sonic 100 grains for $18 shipped to my door. Anyone use these in the past? Have read some old negative things about the strength of the head; hopefully they have improved. Looks like I will be shooting, "steak knives" this season. LOL

Let's go test 'em out at The Jamboree:D

10-4 on the Jamboree....Thats right around the corner actually. You setting up a Quaker Boy table at the Jamboree? I remember DK was there a few years ago, I think right after they bought the company--they had some killer deals on dk camo.

Prob a negative on the table, unless I get a store that wants to bring some calls to sell. I don't sell anything, so it sucks when I run the calls and people want one, but can't get it. That's why Gander,Bass Pro,etc. are ideal to do events at. I plan on just going and shooting, keepin' it real, and takin' it all in. If I can get my friends at Big Game Proshop to set up, than it will be a different story.

I'm working on a seperate bow set-up just for that event

2" 2 blade Rage all day long. I hit a doe high one time right under the spine, cut the tenderloin in half , and she bled out and dropped after 2 steps. It was like a perfect pinata whack and all the blood dumped right out.
Flies exactly (I don't make this stuff up) like my field tip. I don't move my pins at all when it's time to hunt.
I shoot a PSE Typhoon at 58 lbs, get about 240 fps with my current arrow setup.

Gonna be the Trophy Ridge Steelhead XP's (bacon skinner tip) for this year.

TR states you just screw on their broadheads and go straight to the hunt...I'm all about screwing and going straight to the hunt...thats just my game.

Ok. I know I'm late into this conversation, but......Here's what I've found personally:
-Crossfires rock, if I'm shooting under 300fps. Huge holes and tougheren hell. I can't pattern em outta my x-force
-Trophy Ridge rockets fly just like fieldtips, even outta the x-force. But, blades fall off and blood trails suck. Hit em right and they don't go far anyway. And @ 30$/6, its what I use. Killed a lot of deer with them.
-American Broadhead Co. Liberty's: Planed like crazy, even with my low speed bow. So, never hunted with them. Got two unopened packs if anyone want them cheap. :p
-Slick Tricks. Great broadhead! Dont fly exactly like a field tip, but they fly well and are tough. ull need to resight with these. Not priced too bad either.
-Rage: Got mixed feelings about this one. They sure do kill! But, they don't bust bone like a chisel tip will. And, they're so expensive, I just get pissed and wont buy em anymore. This one hit a bear rib @ 250fps

I'm sure a chisel tip woulda busted through.

I'm with you on the American Broadhead.....shot some sonics a few years ago and it was all over the place...not to mention the blades curl real easy..pos in my book.

I'm sticking w/ TR expandables for now...they are priced to sell and fly true. At the rate I'm going, I'm not going to have time to sit in the backyard and fling broadhead after broadhead....I want something I can screw on and go hunting in late september and the TR expandables fit the bill..plus I got 4 of them free last year

If i had the money i would go with montec g5s. I had one and that thing flew straight and made a cool whizzing sound.

Shot a sow on 10/3/10 inside of 20 yards and the Steelhead XP flew true, blew thru both sides of her and came out in working condition. I was impressed..its back in my quiver looking for some more action.

I barely got a pass through with Nap thunderheads inside 20 yards. Im only pulling around 50 lbs. I like the concept of the mechanical broadheads but feel safer with fixed blades. I dont have to worry about replacing rubber bands or o rings or getting caught on branches. 20 dollars for 3 doesnt break the bank either.

Hold the phone..... 2 blade RAGE TITANIUM heads, holy wow looks like you put blood in a pump sprayer and dumped it everywhere!!!!!! nothing and I mean nothing compares. 300 pound black bear through the ribs with a clean passthrough took 2 steps then exhaled once and died.
